The Oak Duo is a pair of musicians playing improvisational music of swing, blues, bossa nova, a little pop and jazz. Inspired by Thelonious Monk and Miles Davis, they inspire smiles in audiences wherever they play. They’re the perfect combination of piano and upright bass and never play the same thing twice ---fresh, spontaneous and always entertaining.
Live Music: Sound Weavers
The Sound Weavers are a three piece ensemble with Lisa Johnson on lap steel guitar, Paul Finer on acoustic and electric ukuleles, and Pam Hunt on tenor ukulele and electric bass. They play a mix of jazz, swing, country, and some Hawaiian music as well!

Live Music: Porch Swing Jazz
Porch Swing began playing on the front porch when the pandemic hit (hence the name Porch Swing Jazz), and continued despite heat, chill, and mosquitoes. Their neighbors often bring their chairs to listen when we practice, and the mailman is one of our biggest fans. Kali Geiger loves singing jazz ballads and standards, with Myles Sullivan on guitar, Shireen Taha on saxophone, Mary Fukuyama on flute and accordion, and Jackie Davis on bass. Come see the Jazz group that has their neighbors raving and the Mailman wishing that his route took him there more often!
Women’s Makers Market
Celebrate Women's History Month at the Women's Makers Market, a showcase of local women-owned businesses, artists, bakers, and more! The vendor fees for this event will benefit Blossoming Butterfly, a local non-profit supporting individuals facing breast, ovarian, and uterine cancer. Join us on Saturday, March 2nd, from 5-8pm at the 4th Ave Food Park to support women vendors and shop local!

No sewing experience is required and all materials will be provided. Bring your own potted plant (approx. 2" to 14").

Donald Blitch aka 'Mr. Aullie' was born and raised in Gainesville, FL. Being a local musician since the mid-seventies 'Mr. Aullie' has been writing songs about his experiences and memories growing up in Florida. Blues music has always connected and influenced the heart of his musical palate, and is now part of him. Mr. Aullie masterfully combines blues, folk, and Americana to weave a web of artful storytelling and inspirational intrigue.

Flora & Fauna Festival
Spring is in the air! The 4th Ave Food Park is teaming up with the University of Florida Doctor of Plant Medicine for the annual February Flora & Fauna Festival! Come visit the 4th Ave Food Park on February 18th from 10am-4pm to enjoy a variety of vendors, kid’s activities, plant sales, educational booths, and more!

Muñecas Grand Opening Event

Join us Sunday, October 15th from 11am-3pm at our Annual Queer Maker’s Market for Gainesville Pride. This public market focuses on uplifting queer makers, chefs, and creators. All vendor fees are donated to the Pride Community Center of North Central Florida (PCCNCF).

Featuring Eli Tragash on the fiddle, Virginia Carr on the guitar, John Peyton on Bass, and C.P. Heaton on the Banjo. Juneteenth Black Maker's Market
Join us for our annual Juneteenth Market, which is a culture and arts market centered around uplifting Black voices, business, creators, and education on the continuing fight for total equality of Black Americans within the United States. All vendor fees are donated to the Porters Community Center.
Kids' Day at 4th Ave Food Park
Bring the whole family for our Backyard Splash Kids Day on Sunday, June 18th from 11am - 3pm. There will be sprinklers, face painting, marionettes, balloon animals, and a backyard barbeque from Fehrenbacher’s! From 12-2 we will also feature our special guest, a mermaid.
Shakespeare in the Park: The Tempest
The Acrosstown Repertory Theatre in partnership with the City of Gainesville, presents Shakespeare in the Park at the 4th Ave Food Park on Sunday, May 21st at 6pm.

Canines & Coffee
Join us for Canines & Coffee, an outdoor adoption event! Come out and grab lunch, a coffee, and meet your new best friend. This event will feature adoptable dogs through the North Central Florida Humane Society. All pup cups sold at the Opus Airstream will be $1 with all proceeds being donated to the Humane Society.
Yoga in the Park
Celebrate Earth Day with us for our “Yoga in the Park” class on Saturday, April 22nd with Jenna Horner. This is a donation based class with ALL proceeds benefiting Jenna’s non-profit, Mindful Messages, which supports mindfulness and creativity in schools. This yoga class is open to all skill levels. All you need is your mat and water to enjoy the fresh air and support your community.
